Meet Laura MacLeod

I am a certified music therapist and counselling therapist (MTA, MA, CT, NICU-MT) with extensive experience supporting children, families, and adults since 2013. I integrate evidence-based practice with creativity and compassion to foster emotional regulation, connection, development, and overall well-being through individualized therapeutic care.

I have provided music therapy services in pediatric healthcare settings; including oncology, neonatal intensive care (NICU), and general pediatric care; as well as in private practice. My experience also includes supporting families through community organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, community centres, and schools. I have completed advanced training as a Certified NICU Music Therapist (NICU-MT) and in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), further enhancing my ability to support guests with diverse developmental, emotional, and neurological needs.

My Philosophy

I believe that healing shouldn't feel clinical or cold; it should feel like coming home. By integrating the structure of clinical therapy with the fluid creativity of music, I help guests find a sustainable rhythm between their inner world and their outer lives. I strip away academic jargon in favour of "plain-language" communication, providing clear, honest insights and a transparent path forward.
